The nuclear power plant in Gundremmingen, Swabia, shut down its operations on New Year's Eve (31 December 2021) as part of the nuclear phase-out. At 8 p.m., the shift team disconnected the generator of unit C of the power plant near Günzburg from the power grid, according to energy company RWE.
