U španjolskom mjestu San Bartolome de Pinares u tijeku je atraktivni festival “Iluminarias”, a kulminacija je jahanje konja kroz - vatru. Riječ je o stoljetnoj gradskoj tradiciji, jahači vode svoje konje kroz ulične buktinje u ritualu pročišćenja. Praksa je proizišla iz srednjovjekovnih vjerovanja o zaštitnim moćima dima u vrijeme smrtonosne kuge.
