U povodu Vegetarijanskog festivala pripadnici kineske manjine u Maleziji hodaju po zapaljenom drvenom ugljenu u Kuala Lumpuru. Poznat i pod nazivom Festival devet careva bogova, godišnja je taoistička proslava koja se održava tijekom devetog lunarnog dana mjeseca kineskog kalendara, a sve u cilju čišćenja tijela i uma.
